Patina was thought up completely spontaneously, which is pretty magical. Owned & operated by Nicole, a former IT professional turned entrepreneur in the health and wellness space. She is a Sooke OG and a mom of two little ones who strives to help women feel confident & empowered in their skin. Nicole is also a complete health & wellness lover, so it just made sense to create a business that provides safe and sexy spray tans for our lovely ladies in the Sooke, B.C. area.

Our spray tans offer a safe and healthy alternative to traditional tanning methods, allowing you to achieve a stunning glow without exposing your skin to harmful UV rays (that’s a hard no for us). Our non-toxic and natural tanning solution is carefully crafted to leave you feeling comfortable and reassured about what you are putting on your skin.

We offer a dreamy in studio location in the Sunriver area of Sooke, as well as mobile options for parties (think bachelorette, bridal, birthday parties, girls nights, etc.)

what to expect.

Spray Tan (In Studio) $60.00 + GST

pre tan (before you see us)

  • Shower & exfoliate your face and body. Ideally, this should be done a minimum of 6 hours before your spray tan.

  • No oil, lotion or deodorant. It is best not to use any oil-based exfoliants or any lotion prior as they can block the tanning process, leaving a residue between your skin and the tanning solution.

  • Shave/wax at least one day before your spray tan session. If using a shaving cream, ensure it is rinsed off well leaving no residue.

  • Arrive in the undergarmets you plan on wearing for your spray tan. You also have the option to remove all undergarmets to ensure your full body is glowing - whatever makes you most comfortable in the studio.

post tan aftercare

  • When you shower (time discussed at your appointment), use warm water and no soap - make it a quick rinse.

  • When you do finally shower with soap, ensure you are using a ph balancing soap and nothing with harsh chemicals (this will strip your tan away quickly - dove is a no go).

  • To ensure the tans longevity, avoid chlorinated water (pools & hot-tubs). If you are jetting off on a vacation and have plans to hit up the pool, keep it to a minimum and double down on your moisturizer/gradual tanner routine.

  • Avoid any kind of skin exfoliation (yes, this includes loofahs) until your tan starts to come off. Once you are noticing signs of the skin sloughing off, you can grab your exfoliating mit to remove access.

  • Wear dark, loose fitting clothing after the session if possible. It is best not to wear white for your spray tanning session.

cancellation/no show policy.

We kindly ask that you provide us with a minimum of 24 hours notice of cancellations. We understand that life does happen, so please let us know as soon as you can if you will be unable to make your rescheduled appointment time and we can reschedule you back in.

We reserve the option to administer a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total service fee for cancellations made less than 24 hours notice.

Day of cancellations or no-shows are subject to 100% fee of the scheduled service.

Cancellations fees are required to be paid in full before scheduling future appointments. Thank you very much for respecting our time, schedules & policies.
